TCSL Reps Concludes Successful First Season
A tremendous TCSL Reps 2022-2023 program has wrapped up for the season and we wish all the participants the best of luck moving forward.
The Reps process started last September with club leaders submitting players to the trial process held at the National Sports Center in mid-October.
Squads were selected and teams formed for the Midwest Select Games in November which was unfortunately postponed due to freakishly cold weather.
The Reps Winter Pool* started in January with a series of training sessions and two matches for each team versus strong local competition.
Thank you to our club partners for providing competitive opposition and facilities.
*The November squads were supplemented with Pool Players who were then given an opportunity to go to the Midwest Select Games
The program highlight was a very successful trip to Illinois March 4-5th weekend for the rescheduled Midwest Select Games at Olympic Park.
All Reps teams, 2009-2010 Boys and Girls, travelled by bus and stayed together to truly focus on the soccer event.
Thank you to our coaches and chaperones for their work with the teams and helping make the trip a success.
On the field TCSL Reps held their own versus select teams from: Club Development League (Iowa); Great Lakes Alliance (Ohio, Pennsylvania, New York); and Northern Illinois Soccer League (Illinois).
Results:
Reps 2009 Girls: 2nd, 2 wins, 1 draw
Reps 2010 Girls: 3rd, 1 win, 2 losses
Reps 2009 Boys: 3rd, 1 win, 2 losses
Reps 2010 Boys: 1 win, 1 draw, 1 loss
The Reps program will resume in 2023-24 with a similar process that includes: 2011 Boys & Girls, 2010 Boys & Girls, 2009 Boys & Girls.
