TCSL ANNOUNCES CHANGES AND ENHANCEMENTS To 25-26 LEAGUE STRUCTURE.
In partnership with the Elite Clubs National League (“ECNL”), TCSL is excited to announce the formation of ECNL Regional League – Twin Cities, to go into effect August 2025.
NPL Super will transition to become ECNL Regional League – Twin Cities.
NPL Premier will remain the Minnesota NPL, with league winners advancing to the NPL Finals.
The Minnesota National Premier Leagues (NPL) is one of 18 member leagues of Us club soccer's national premier leagues. LEAGUE WINNERS advance to the NPL Finals, HELD ANNUALLY IN JULY.
The Minnesota National Premier League represents a club collaboration that is the highest level of the TCSL pyramid for both boys and girls ages 13U through 19U.
The Minnesota NPL provides a high level of play close to home with a proven pathway to US Club National events.
Club-centric and collaboration driven, the league is led by the League of Directors comprised of leaders of member clubs.
Programming includes college showcases and winter matches that are meaningful.
The Minnesota NPL aims to provide a practical, club-centric, annual schedule.
Overall schedule and approach will be decided by the League of Directors.
In general, teams play one meaningful season throughout the full soccer year.
The benefit to this structure is utmost flexibility for clubs, and appropriate training to match ratios which are in the best interest of player development.
