Purpose: To prepare coaches to work with youth teams (U6 to U12) in a participation environment.
Goals:
Nine weeks (Including summative assessment) with two in-person weekends.
Students who register for this course can expect weekly learning opportunities that will feature a mixture of independent learning using online modules, live virtual meetings, and in-person meetings led by a licensed U.S. Soccer Educator. Students should have access to the internet and a laptop/device with web camera/live video capabilities. The virtual meetings will take place on agreed-upon days and times. Students may be asked to participate in the in-person field component as either coaches or players, so please come prepared to actively learn.
In-person dates:
Classroom sessions will be held at the Twin Cities Soccer Leagues offices: 3001 Metro Drive, Room 110, Bloomington, MNย 55425.
Field sessions will be held at the Academy of Holy Angels: 6600 Nicollet Avenue South.
To register for the U.S. Soccer D course, all applicants must meet the following prerequisites.
