Twin Cities Soccer Leagues is pleased to welcome Katie Halvorson, whom will serve TCSL member clubs during Katie Kubista’s maternity leave, as its Interim League Administrator.
Halvorson hails from Buffalo, Minn. and is a graduate of Concordia University-St. Paul with a dual degree in Business Management and Sports Management. She is happy to be back in Minnesota having spent the last five years living in the Washington, DC and Maryland area attending the Georgetown University Sport Industry Management Master’s program and working with a marketing firm; sports security for various professional sports teams, universities and events; youth lacrosse tournaments and helping to open a new Sky Zone in East Baltimore. In addition, she has been an online professor for her alma mater.
“We are thrilled to welcome Katie to the TCSL team this summer,” said Matt Tiano. “Her background in customer service, events and the sports industry make her an ideal fit to serve TCSL clubs.”
Halvorson has been an avid fan and participant in soccer across many levels since the age of four, and is looking forward to helping to make the TCSL experience a fabulous one for all. She began playing soccer with Buffalo Recreational Soccer, Monticello River Eagles and Minnesota Thunder Development camps during the summer months. During her high school days, she played for Wright County Soccer Club and Wayzata Soccer Club. After beginning her college career with Winona State University, she finished at Concordia University-St. Paul.
“Having grown up in the Twin Cities and having played soccer locally growing up, I am very excited to join TCSL,” Halvorson said. “I look forward to working with all the clubs and the entire TCSL community to ensure that the experience this summer is one that is memorable for all.”
